Business Internship
Business Internship
A business internship at PS Provider consists of RPA- and AI-related projects.
Expression of Interest – Internship
Through an internship at PS Provider, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our organization, apply your knowledge in real-world projects, and develop within areas at the very forefront of technology.
You will gain insight into real business challenges, have the opportunity to experiment with new solutions, and receive support from experienced specialists who are eager to share their expertise.
Why do we exist?
Automation is becoming increasingly important as demands for productivity and efficiency rise, while the number of IT systems that need to work together is growing rapidly.
Robots have increasingly become a natural part of everyday life, both privately and in the workplace. Industries such as manufacturing have long recognized the potential of automation and have used physical robots to automate, streamline, and improve quality in processes by eliminating repetitive manual tasks.
We essentially do the same thing, but instead we automate administrative work. In short, we are robot trainers who teach our digital employees to take over a wide range of dull and repetitive administrative tasks. The real value we provide is that all the time we free up can instead be used to create genuine value for our customers.
We hope you will choose us!
Our goal with your internship is to provide a developmental, inspiring, and hands-on experience—an opportunity to deepen your knowledge and gain insight into how modern digital solutions create value across different organizations.
With us, you will meet engaged colleagues, plenty of laughter, and exciting client assignments. Our clients are based both in Sweden and internationally, across the private and public sectors, providing a broad and insightful view into different types of organizations and challenges.
We are located right in the heart of central Halmstad, in a fresh and airy office that serves as our creative hub—and is also home to our legendary Super Fridays!
As a workplace, we value the combination of great responsibility and great freedom. We want everyone who joins us—regardless of role or length of collaboration—to have the opportunity to grow, develop, and feel part of something meaningful.
Digital employees get the job done
The technology we work with is called RPA, Robotic Process Automation, and it involves training digital employees, or software robots, to perform tasks in existing systems in the same way a human would.
This means that, unlike traditional applications, RPA is a tool that manages and automates tasks and processes by leveraging existing user interfaces, and therefore does not require integration in the traditional sense.
Because RPA uses the interfaces of existing applications to automate routines and processes, solutions can be deployed in a fraction of the time it would take to go through ERP vendors or an internal IT department.
The global RPA market is growing steadily and is expected to increase tenfold over the next 6–7 years—to more than SEK 300 billion.
Intelligent Automation – Where RPA Meets AI
RPA has traditionally been a tool for automating human behavior at the keyboard. As the development of artificial intelligence has accelerated in recent years, RPA platforms have evolved as well—and today, parts of human thinking can also be automated. This may, for example, involve text interpretation or automated decision-making.
The abbreviation RPA has therefore increasingly been replaced by the much broader term Intelligent Automation, as automations have become more and more AI-driven.
The use of AI will explode in the coming years, especially within the field of automation. By doing your internship with us, you will have the opportunity to be right at the very heart of this revolution!
What will be expected of you as a student?
As a student completing your internship with us, you will have a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in engaging tasks that are closely connected to your field of study.
RPA assignments are usually a combination of business development and automation development. Customer needs, together with their system capabilities, determine the flows and processes. In other words, major changes in a customer’s environment will affect day-to-day operations, which in turn create a need for changes in business processes, ways of working, and routines. With strong knowledge of processes, activities, and systems, it is possible to address these challenges in a rational and innovative way.
What tasks can you expect to work on?
What does an RPA assignment involve?
If you have a strong interest in technology, business processes, and enterprise systems, the opportunities will be unlimited. RPA has a unique ability to tie together and seamlessly connect all information within organizations. RPA is not only about automating tasks, but also about creating an intelligent bridge between customers, suppliers, companies, employees, systems, processes, activities, and routines.
PS Provider in collaboration with Halmstad UniversityRPA ensures that the right information is available in the right place, at the right time, and with the right quality. In concrete terms, this means that if you have an interest in business processes, you will—together with PS Provider—work on mapping, optimizing, and automating workflows.
Arena Business Systems
The internship concludes in connection with Arena Affärssystem—an annual event at Halmstad University focused on enterprise systems and digital business development. As a student, you will have the opportunity to present your achievements and reflections from the internship, as well as connect with others and build a network for a future career in the industry.
Your internship is important both to you and to us. That’s why we are committed to the entire journey we share—most notably by always participating as an exhibitor at Arena Affärssystem.
Of course, we’ll also be there in the audience, cheering you on when it’s time for your final presentation!
At Arena Affärssystem 2025, our two interns, Robin and Oliver, delivered outstanding presentations on what they worked on during their time with us!
A big thank you to both of you for letting us be part of your journey during these months!
PS Provider in collaboration with Halmstad University
PS Provider has a long tradition of collaborating with Halmstad University. Each year, we welcome students who complete internships with us, as well as participate in other types of projects such as business projects. We are selective in our choice of students, which often results in continued collaboration in the form of employment after graduation.
